When I look at Wood County West Virginia Cemetery Inscriptions, Vol.1. pg. 135, it appears that the quoted information applies to the Rockport Cemetery, which was listed just above the information for Sams Cemetery. J French "According to the book, Wood County West Virginia Cemetery Inscriptions, Vol.1. pg. 135 of this book states that the Sams Cemetery on Missouri Creek is to be morved in 1966 to make way for Route 77. Practically all graves were moved to Big Tygart Cemetery with 3 moved to Mt. Olivet."
