I guess those companies were bought out by newer ones. Both of those older ones are on old family photos that I have, and I thought they may have the negatives still there, and/or others that I could get copies of. I lived in Parkersburg from birth till 1945. My entire family going back to my gggrandfather are buried there. Five Generations or so. Thanks again. Fred

My great-grandfather was George Washington Taylor that married Lucy Ellen McAtee 25 Sep 1869 in Washington Co. OH. They had 6 children, one of which was my grandfather, Archabald Reuben Taylor and his wife, Enda Grifford Scholl. Have a good deal of info on the Scholl, McAtee, and not a good deal of proof beyond George Washington Taylor parents: Anthony Thornton Taylor and Sarah Ellen Baxter. Would like to exchange info. In 1806, when Edward Gambriel bought 50 acres in Wood County WV, Lewis Gregory and William Woodyard also bought land from the same parcel. Lewis Gregory was married to Benedicta Woodyard, William's sister. According to messages I have received from Woodyard researchers, the Gregorys, the Woodyards and the Gambrills were intermarrying in Charles County MD prior to the Rev War. I need to find out how these Gambrills tie into the Charles County family. I figure Anne must have been born some time around 1750 plus or minus 5 years, but I don't know where, and I can't find out who her husband was. They may have gone from Maryland to Virginia to NC and then to Wood County.

Robert EDELEN was an early settler in the Washington Bottom of Wood County. Does anyone have information regarding his ancestry. I am looking for the parents of John EDELEN who settled in Grayson County Kentucky. He seems to have appeared out of nowhere. The earliest record I have of him is in his father-in-laws will. Property is given to daughter Margaret Neale wife of John Edelen. His first two children were born in Maryland (1809 and 1811) later children born in Kentucky. Since Robert and John are contemporaries, who move west from Maryland I am thinking they could be brothers. At this point I am really grasping at straws to find a lead in breaking this "brick wall". Any help will be much appreciated. Mary Fran
