Trying to find anyone with the Alexander Parker that Parkersburg, West Virginia was named after. Would like to know if he lived there and where his descendants ended up. Or I would be interested in any Parkers who lived in Wood County, WV. Anyone with George, Samuel J. or James Parker, early settlers of Shelby County, Missouri. There's also a Charlotte Parker, married to John B. Lewis of Shelby County, MO. They could have been there as early as 1832. Not sure where they came from, perhaps VA or KY. Wondering if they are connected to any from Parkersburg, Wood County, WV? Thanks, Chris Beck thebecks@ncn.net

Gary Davis is the new President of the Lee and Davis reunion. He will do well in that capacity. The Secretary (Beryl) was a Lee so it is good that we have a Davis to be the President. I succeeded a Davis as President a little over 10 years ago. Our family is doing well. Still nothing more on the Richards family. I made personal contact with an Edwards descendant, Collaine Brand, of Parkersburg. We share a fairly close connection on my mother's side. My mother's father and her father's father were brothers. That gives her the same Richards connection through Samuel Edwards who married Evaline Richards. Evaline was a child of Otho Richards (she has Dovenor Otho Richards) and Rebecca Dotson. Collaine does not have any further information on Otho Richards either. I have found Otho Richards on the 1840 Census of Wood County, but have not found him before that time on any census in any location. With a birthdate of about 1783, he could have been the head of a household as early as 1800, 1810, 1820 and 1830. I suppose he could have still been living at home with his parents until the 1840 census. With Rebecca born about 1814 that's certainly possible. Rebecca would have been 20 in 1834 and Otho would have been 51 - their first child was born in 1835. The other possibility is that Otho was married prior to his marriage to Rebecca. Perhaps he was listed under a different name (nickname?). Hope you and your family are doing well.

Her maiden name was originally thought to be Adams, but this turned out to be her step-father. She was from Meigs Co., Ohio, as near as I can tell, but may have resided or even died in Wood Co., WV, since she had family across the river. Does anyone know a date and place of birth?

I've narrowed his death down to between 1903 and 1910. I know that's an awfully large span but I just haven't been able to pinpoint his death. His parents were Margaret Butler and William Pitcher. Walter married Ella Owens in July of 1903 in Waverly. They had a daughter, Hazel Pearl (my grandmother), who was born in Parkersburg on 17 July 1904. By 1910 Ella was a widow still living in Parkersburg. Any info at all will be greatly appreciated. Candice Francisco Toth Nevada
