But then I left Parkersburg in 1945. Have you tried the Wood County Library in Parkersburg? they have a genealogy dept. that has lots of info., like City Directories for most years from 1890 through the 1940's that showed families listed alphabetically including address, profession, etc. I have found many of my ancestors listed there and in articles in the newspapers of Parkersburg.
