Was wondering if anybody on this list has ever seen or heard of any newspaper article from Parkersburg, detailing the death of Adam Deem above. It would seem that it would have been a newsworthy event as he was a pioneer of Wood County, was a Soldier in the Revolution and died at the age of 100+. Robert S. Vail Titusville, FL

Elizabeth was married to 1. Joseph Johnson (Married abt. 1790) 2. John Gard Joseph Johnson died about the year of 1793 or 94. Elizabeth then married John Gard in Wood Co. Va. (Now WV) shortly after that. I think that Elizabeth died sometime prior to 1829, but can't confirm that. I wonder if any or all of the above names are mentioned in the History of Wood Co., WV, Marriages, Cementies, or Will's books? Maybe Washington County, Ohio too, since Elizabeth and Joseph's son (Jacob Johnson) came to Wash. Co. in 1828. Hope someone can help. To this day, we do not know which of her vital records carried the erroneous (we assume) date that they used, or if it was simply human error.

I believe that the SSDI has an incorrect birthday for one of them. My grandmother is Dicie Evelyn Rogers/Rodgers and I have her as being born 11 OCT 1900 in Wood County, WV. She died 30 NOV 1968 in Akron, OH, which is what the SSDI has for Dicie Chaney (she had remarried Lloyd Chaney). She had a brother Howard Rogers/Rodgers that the SSDI has as being born 12 NOV 1900, which is only one month after Dicie. Obviously, something seems off with these dates. Can anybody offer any help here? Thanks in advance.
