Ice, 24 yrs old, born in Parkersburg, WV (approx. birth year of 1875) Sophia A. Leithe, 24 yrs old, born in Germany (approx. birth year of 1875) married 9 March 1899 in North St. Parsonage, Wheeling, WV by C.B.Graham Sophia is sister to my great-great-grandfather, Charles Leithe (b. 6 June 1874 in Germany). Their other siblings are William J. Leithe (b. 23 Oct 1877 in Germany), George Leithe (b. abt 1890 in West Newton, PA), Frank C. Leithe (b. 17 June 1891 in Mt. Pleasant, PA), and Bessie Leithe (no info known at this point). Their parents were William Leithe and Sophia Klibbrink, both born in Germany. If someone could look up William Ice at the Wood Co courthouse for me, I'd truly appreciate it. I'm hoping for a transcription of his birth record, and possibly to see if they had any children in Wood Co, or died in Wood County. None of my family so far knows anything about this line, or that it even existed. If William and Sophia Leithe Ice are connected to anyone's family, I've got heaps of info on the Leithe's. I'm in Lewis county WV, btw, and I could do a courthouse look-up for someone if they needed one. Might not be quick, tho, cause I work full time. Thanks!

Surnames: Bartzokas Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/DFC.2ACI/2491 Message Board Post: I am looking for ANY information that anyone would have about Christopher "Criss" Bartzokas, born Sep 21, 1921 or 22, in Sullivan County Newport, New Hampshire and died June 1970 in Wood County, Parkersburg, WV. I do not know when he came to Parkersburg but I do know that he was there by 1955. I am his biological daughter, although he and my mother never married. I do not really know much about him but I do know what his parents names were as they were listed in part of the obituary I had. He met my mother when she worked at Murphy's as a waitress. At the time of his death, his father had already passed but his mother was still living. I do know that he had been in the Marines when he was living in Newport, NH. The obituary I had did not have the entire listing as it had been torn. My biological mother is no longer living and she had only told me very little about him. I would appreciate anyone who could give me any information at all on his and his family. The only picture I have of his is the one I have encluded and I do not know when it was taken but I do know it was in Parkersburg. He is the man on the left. Thank you, Becky

    1. HALL CEMETERY
    2. Can anyone provide information on the Hall Cemetery, Pond Creek, in or near Parkersburg. We were recently in Parkersburg and asked about the Hall Cemetery, little did we know that there were two. We were sent to the one on County Road 17/1 near Belleville, looking for the gravesites of John Milton Cox, my g. grandfather and a Baby (unnamed) Cox. There did not appear to be any Cox's in that cemetery, unless they were the gravesites marked with a stone with no name on them. I am trying to locate a list of the gravesites in the other Hall Cemetery at Pond Creek. Thanks for your help. Pat

    1. Dye /Thorn family
    2. Elmer Thorn
    3. I am seeking information on Mahala Thorn who married Elijah Petty Dye in 1835 Wood Co. Her father was John Thorn b abt 1782 in Prince William Co Va. He is a brother to my Great grandfather and would like to know more about his family. Evidently the Dyes and John Thorn all left Prince WIlliam Co abt the same time or John followed the family there abt 1816 or so. I would like to know when he died and where he is buried. Also would like to share info with anyone researching this family. It also apprears that John Thorn was living with Elijah and Mahala Dye in the 1850 Wood census. Also there were two females- Lucinda Toby 32 and Mary Toby 41 living in the house. I am wondering if their names should have been Thorn or maybe they both had married brothers named Toby. I believe them to be John's other daughters from the 1820 and 1830 census. The ages are right for his other daughters. Any help would be appreciated. Elmer Thorn Missouri
