The Harkins Cemetery I am thinking of is about a mile from Central. The Harkins Cemetery is listed as Briscoe Run Church Cemetery in the old John House files. (There is an Upper and a Lower Briscoe Run Cemetery listed.) Harkins is still in occasional use but has been closed off by a private residence. I used to go there with relatives when I was a child but it is so seldom used a lot of the stones are in disrepair and it is often deserted looking. The old iron gates and fencing are gone and so many of the stones I remember when I was young are no longer even there. I haven't been there for a couple of years but would be glad to go look if you think your relative might be there. Mineral Wells is about 18 miles or so away and I am not familiar with a Harkins Cemetery there. Who were Emma's parents? I have Inghram/Ingram ancestors. Let me know if I can help further. Pat

However, I am interested in chatting with you about James Leach. Do you have information that might prove his relationship to any of the other Leach families living in and around Fauquier County, Virginia during the mid-to-late 1700's? I understand there is some consensus that William Leach, Sr. (d. 1787) was the father of your James and some of the other male Leaches listed in the tax records, etc. at that time.

I know that the family appears to have ran back and forth across the river at that point. However; as for going down the Ohio River on the Ohio side, I still have to do that yet. The map that I currently have of that area is a little small so I need to go get a little bigger map to look at. So that's part of my next project. It's been fun trying to jump back and forth some seaching for Darrah/Burch/McHenry/Williams and I've yet to really start looking on my wifes grandfathers side of the family, Verner. I could really use a few 34 hour days where I don't have to sleep.
