I would be willing to share info with you but also would like to hear about your family. I already had the information on Arnet But not all his descendants. Arnets dad was Martin DeLewis(Luther) Morris and was married to Emiline Paugh December 23,1897. I have a birth certificate for Emeline showing DOB as March 10, 1880 from the Wood COunty Curthouse however I believe it should read 1881. Can't prove that. Believe her parents to be George Washington Paugh and Sarah Agnes Cain or Cains.

I have an Archart Glaze b.1789 Maryland and wife Sarah b.1796 Delaware, who lived somewhere in Va. between 1817-1826,as an oldest child was born abt.1817 Va.,and a youngest child was b.abt.1826 Va. This family lived in Ohio from abt.1830-1880. Have seen ref, for Archart Glaze b.1789 (Va.) and wife Sarah (Deputy) married Va.? Now I know where early researchers of this family got that idea. No way to know if Sarah is Sally (Deputy) who married an Archart Glaze in 1814 in Wood Co.,Va.? However,I did find an Archart and George Glaze indexed in the 1820 Wood Co.,Va.census.w/family.Interesting? Thanks again.

Found a GEORGE GLAZE in the WOOD CO.,(was VIRGINIA) 1820 census. Suspect this to be the same GLAZE? As it appears this GLAZE lived in Va. abt 1820-1830. Rachel was his second wife. Suspect this GEORGE to be a brother to AREHART b.1789 Md.,also lived in Va. between 1820-1830. Both an AREHART and GEORGE GLAZE are found in the 1820 Wood Co.,Va. census. Both an AREHART and GEORGE are found in Ohio in the 1840 and 1850 Ohio census. Looking to connect these GLAZES to one of the many early GLAZE families.

George worked on Ohio river and lived in Preston and Richie County. Had a son born 1810. His name is Benjamin Franklin Moore. Benjamin went by the name Franklin. Benajmin Married Mary Ann Jones. Any information on this family would be appreciated. Only information we have for George is that he was a farmer, worked on Ohio River, and cut timber for the railroad. Story in Ritchie County History Book about Benjamin and his father, who is George. This would have George living in the late 1840's.

    1. Benjamin Franklin Willis and wife Elizabeth, Wood Co., 1890
    2. Does anyone have the 1890 Census for Wood Co. I need a look-up on these two to see if they were still here in 1890. They were listed for Union District, 1880 with Benjamin age 27, born OH, wife Elizabeth, age 25, born PA., children , Elizabeth 6, Ida M. 4, Eva or Evy 1. Benjamin was the son of John S. Willis who died in the Civil War. I have a lot of info on this Willis family, but can't find where Benjamin and family went. Family lore says he might have been hanged as a horse thief, but as we all know, some of these tales are just that, tales. Thanks. It also gave me his mother's maiden name, and a lot of her family is buried there too! Thanks again, Barb

    1. Mulvey in Wood Co.
    2. Hamiltons
    3. I found this list of Wood Co. births at a website or by searching the archives of this list, can't remember. I went looking for these people in the various Federal censuses during years I might expect to find them, and can't. Does anyone have access to something that would show where they are? Are there state censuses? My furthest back McNamara, James McNamara was m. to SArah Mulvey (I know she is the dau. of Thomas Mulvey from her death record). They first appear in Wheeling WV when their first child is born in 1855. I have so far been unable to find out what county they came from in Ireland. I can track them in varous censuses, as well as some of their children. I don't know if info on these people below would advance me at all, but as I recall they are the only Mulveys I have found anywhere around Wheeling in the same time frame, so it is intriguing. I can't find Sarah with her Mulvey family prior to 1855 anywhere in the US, so I don't even know if they were in the USA at all; whether she and James (also known as Jimmy Mack) were married here (can't find a record) or in Ireland before they came. Cannot find them as a couple on any of the ship's lists either. Do you think that Mary and Margaret are the same person? And of course, I am intrigued with the identical names of Sarah andThomas in the last listing, even though the timie is off to be my Sarah--and the danged Irish use the same first names over and over and over, but still............. Any help much appreciated! Nancy in Houston TX where we are still running the air conditioner.
