Church, Monday, December 13, p.m. Bring bundles with price on outside. Bundles received any time after 3 o'clock, also, lunches as follows. Sandwiches two for five cents, pumpkin pie five cents, apple pie five cents, cake five cents, coffee five cents. Benefits for Ladies Aid. Announcement I carry a full-line of fresh and up-to-date groceries and fresh meats. A good stock of rubber boots and shoes. A small line of dry goods and hosiery. A square deal and courteous treatment to all. Respectfully, J.E. Snyder. Local and Personal Madams B.M. and B.T. Beason left the latter part of last week for Columbus, O., to visit Mrs. B.M. Beason's daughter, Mrs. J.H. Thompson. Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Stanley of Route 3 returned from an extended visit to points in Ohio. County Clerk I. P. Thom was a business visitor at Parkersburg on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. I. P. Dawson left the latter part of last week to visit their children in Harrison and Marion counties. Mr. Dawson also visited Baltimore where he is taking cancer treatment A. Custer and Jas. Clark, good farmers and stockmen of Burning Springs, delivered some cattle and transacted business here on Saturday. N. R. Dent, of Two Ripple, had the misfortune to fall and get a leg broken on Monday of last week. K.K. and S. L. Deever, good citizens of Standing Stone, were business visitors in Elizabeth Saturday. The Old Fellows give their annual banquet today (Friday). Entertainments at the courthouse to begin at 10. Dinner will be served over Eastman's Drug Store. Word just reached us as we were ready for press of the sudden death of Mrs. W.Q. Coberly Thursday morning. September 12, 1958 50th Anniversary Homecoming At Limestone Church The fiftieth anniversary homecoming at the Limestone Church will be an event of Sunday, Sept. 21, according to an announcement received by the Journal early this week. The event will be inform of an all day meeting, with picnic dinner, special singers, guest speakers, and a memorial service. A display of old pictures is to be exhibited, and the history of the church will be read. Two Runs Homecoming To Be Sept 14 Event The annual homecoming at the Two Runs Baptist Church on State Rt. 14 between Palestine and Reedy will be an event of Sunday, Sept. 14, with the general public invited to attend. Regular Sunday School will convene at 10 a.m. and will be followed by worship service at 11 in charge of the church pastor, the Rev. Vairl C. Winter. Ray Frazier Broke Foot In Fall at Harrisville Ray Frazier, son of Mr. and Mrs. C.R. Frazier, Rt. 2, City, an employee with Armstrong Line Construction Co., suffered a fall some three weeks ago while working on a project in Harrisville, resulting in a broken foot. He is able to get around with the injured limb in a cast. Frazier was working some 20 to 25 feet up on a pole when a severed line let the pole and him and all fall to the ground. The broken foot was his only injury. Llewellyns Were Recent Visitors With Mrs. McCoy The Rev. and Mrs. Ralph M. Llewellyn and three sons, Bob, 17, Tom, 14, and John, 8, of Murfeesboro, Tenn., spent an August vacation with Mrs. Llewellyn's mother, Mrs. Carl McCoy, of 605-1/2 Reed St., Parkersburg. She will be remembered as the former Miss Billie McCoy. Brought Mrs. Honaker A Television Set Mr. and Mrs. James Flint of Howell, Mich., were recent weekend guests of Mrs. (Ora) Flint's sister, Mrs. Georgia Honaker, City, and the local lady was especially thrilled with their visit, as they brought her a gift of a new television set. Their brother, Urshel Somerville, was a recent patient in City Hospital, Parkersburg, with a heart condition. He is improved. Big James Tomato Harry L. James, Rt. 4, City, on the Hatchery Road, brought a few Elizabeth residents "samples" of his Colossal variety tomatoes. The Journal publisher was one of the lucky ones, recipient of ONE tomato which weighted two and one-quarter pounds. Delicious, too!
