Wirt County Journal September 22, 1999 Obituaries Carrie Atkinson Carrie M. Atkinson, 92, of Cairo, died Sept. 13 in Parkersburg. She was born Oct. 14, 1906, in Elizabeth. She was a homemaker, a member of the senior citizens of Cairo., attended the United Methodist Church at Nutter Farm and was a member of the United Methodist Women of Cairo. She is survived by one son, Robert Atkinson of Oceanside, Calif.; two daughters, Eva Mahoney of Cairo and Mary Batton of Wilmington, N.C.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Salatheal and Millie Williamson Simmons; two sons, Carl and Edward Simmons; one daughter, Mae Slocum; six brothers; two sisters; two grandchildren; and her husband, Harvey "Tom" L. Atkinson. Services were held Sept. 15 at Raiguel Funeral Home, Cairo, with the Rev. Danny McVey officiating. Burial was in Masonic Memorial Park, Cairo. Eva C. Boso Eva C. Boso, 77, formerly of Larkmead, died Sept. 18 at Ravenswood Care Center. She was born in Wirt County, a daughter of the late Isaac Preston and Anna Phillips Halbert. She attended the Grace Gospel Church in Pettyville, worked at Corning Glass for 14 years and was an avid tole painter. She is survived by two sons, Ralph D. Wingrove of Coolville and David W. Boso of Sherman; one brother, Jack Halbert of Marathon, Fla.; three sisters, Janet Frazier of Parkersburg, Hazel Dulaney of Boaz and Bernice Ashby of Parkersburg; four grandchildren; two great-grandchilden; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence W. Boso, and one brother, Clifford Halbert. Services were held Sept. 20 at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Mike Allen officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memory Gardens. Francis E. Full Francis E. "Frank" Full, 80, of Rt. 2, Washington, died Sept. 14 in the Willows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Parkersburg. He was born in at Windy, Wirt County, a son of the late 0key and Della Pearl Board Full. He retired as a guard in 1977 from DuPont Washington Works and served seven years as scout master for Boy Scout Troop 109. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps Infantry veteran of World War II and a member of South Parkersburg Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Elva M. Randolph Full; two daughters, Betty Barker and husband Johnnie of Washington and Marlene Hickman of Parkersburg; three sons, Clifford E. Full and wife Eileen of Washington, Lester O. Full and wife Debbie of Washington and Paul A. Full of Washington; two sisters, Lucille Durst of Akron and Ruby Drain of Parkersburg; two brothers, Clairiden Full and Clarence Full, both of Parkersburg; eight grandchildren, Jonda Barker Craddock of Washington, Debbie Full Taylor of Concord, N.C., Cassie Hickman Radabaugh of Millwood, Mark Full of Concord, Brandon Full of Parkersburg, Carrie Hickman Brookover of Parkersburg, Kelly Sheppard of Athens and Erica Sheppard of Washington; and three great-grandchildren, Wyatt A. Taylor, Dylan M. Radabaugh and Christian D. Craddock. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harley Full; and one granddaughter, Amy D. Full. Services were held Sept. 17 at Vaughan Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. S. Ward Robinson officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memory Gardens. Irene Veon Mildred Irene Veon, 69, of Coolville, died Sept. 18 at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was born in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late William and Clarice Haught Sinnett. She was a homemaker mg a Protestant. She is survived by her husband, Arnold L. Veon; two daughters, Jane Vannoy and Debbie Little, both of Coolville; two sisters, Eldred Shanks of Coolville and Norma Dawson of Vienna; five grandchildren, Jay Perkins, Julie Biles, Jason Vannoy, Tracy Little and Cathy Clem; and one great-granddaughter, Emily Biles. She was preceded in death by two brothers; and one sister. Services were held Sept. 21 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Remembrance, with Pastor John Long officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memory Gardens, Garden of Everlasting Life.
