David D. Arnold, s/o Benjamin Arnold and Jane (Jackson?) was a CW pensioner. In 1913, he presented the family Bible as proof of his age. The Bible's first entry was in Nov 1818 which coincides with the birth of Benjamin's first child. At that time the Bible was almost one hundred years old. I would of course be very interested in learning if the Bible still exists and where it might be or if someone know if its contents have been previously published? Benjamin was the probably son of John Arnold and Jemima Jackson. However Benjamin seems to have been much travelled, and the Arnold family historians I have come across have little or no information about. He was apparently married three times: 1) Suannah Wamsely, 1816 in Randloph County, (W)VA; 2) Jane (Jackson?); and third to my ancestor Drusannah/Drusilla (Dye) Ledsome, 1851 in Wirt Co. H. Michael McTeer Thanks Mrs. Spencer for your response to my question on the Historical Society.
