Hello everyone, I've been trying to trace back my Barton ancestors and have come upon some "mystery" Bartons. Does anyone have any information on the Bartons who where in what became West Virginia during the late 1700s & early 1800s? I came upon references to land grants in Sim's Index for William Barton in Harrison & Daniel Barton Monongalia counties in the 1780s. Also a marriage record in Harrison County in 1808 for Thomas Barton to Sally Drummond. Also Levi Barton being listed as a witness on an 1805 deed in Wood County. Also Margaret Barton in 1830 Wood County Census. Anyone have any ideas who these people are?
