    3. Wirt County Journal May 5, 1999 Obituaries Franklin D. Adams Franklin D. Adams, 65, of Palestine, died April 28 at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born August 24, 1933, in Indiana, Pa., a son of the late Merle J. and Ruth Putt Adams. He was a retired Local 132 operating engineer and an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife, Margery Somerville Adams; three daughters, Rose Ann and Dawn of Whipple and Sharon and Dennis of Whipple; three granddaughters, Vicki and Hannah of Whipple and Elizabeth of Palestine; three stepgrandchildren, Jason, Mark and Missy of Marietta; mother-in-law, Mildred Somerville of Palestine; three brothers; and five sisters. He was preceded in death by two brothers; and his father-in-law, Charles H. Somerville. Services were held May l at Matheny Pomroy Funeral Home, Elizabeth, with the Rev. Marilyn Schroeder officiating. Burial was in Pisgah Cemetery. Robert A. Hathaway Robert A. Hathaway, 63, of Grantsville, died at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was horn in Calhoun County, a son of Mr. Eulanee Stump Hathaway of Grantsville and the late Orvan Todd Hathaway. He is survived by his mother; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Carlton and Bonita Hathaway of Barlow, David and Lorene Hathaway of Elkview, Wes and Ethel Hathaway of Elizabeth, Ernest arid Carol Hathaway of Vienna; and one sister,. Loretta Hathaway of Parkersburg. He was preceded in death by one brother, Richard W. Hathaway. Services were held May 4 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, with the Rev. Robert Nicholas, the Rev. Mike Worf and the Rev. Glendon McKee officiating. Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery. Inez R. Postlewait Inez R. Postlewait, 75, of Brooklyn Court, Parkersburg, died April 27 at her residence. She was born in Wirt County, a daughter of the late Gilbert and Mary Adams Rothwell. She attended the First Baptist Church, Parkersburg, and was employed as a secretary-treasurer for Blair Electrical Contractors for many years. More recently, she worked for the Philip R. Postlewait Jr. CPA firm. She is survived by one son, Philip R. Postlewait Jr. of Parkersburg; one daughter, Linda L. Schwartz of McMurray Pa.; two grandchildren, Daniel W, Schwartz of Washington, Pa., and Lynnette Y. Schwartz of Oxford, Miss.; one sister Betty Freed of Parkersburg; and one brother, Leslie Rothwell of Vienna. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip R. Postlewait; and one sister, Mollie Dulaney. Services were held May 1 at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Joel Garrett officiating. Burial was in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
