Have been researching my BALL relatives in Wood/Wirt County for years. At some time I have come across the name Wm. Petty, if memory serves me correctly. At this time, I have been unable to find any evidence of him in my Family Tree records nor in my scraps of filed papers. We winter in Tucson, therefore I do not have all my records with me, but I will keep your address and pursue it when we go back to Oregon in the Spring. On the off chance someone may recognize my "lost" BALL family members, I will again list them: They all arrived in Wood/Wirt County (Elizabeth) around 1811-14, with their Mother, Anna Wiley Ball and her oldest son, William Samuel Ball (b. 1801/02) They were supposedly in the company of the Steele and Bennett families. John Allen Ball--b. October 1803 Margaret Ball----b. October 13, 1803 (possibly twins?) Listed in 1830 Census Lucretia Ball------b. August 1805 Mary Ball----------b.
