I have been blocked for 35 years.......time is running out!!!! Does anyone know of a Steele family who emmigrated from VA about 1810? The wife and family (6 children) of Allen Ball supposedly traveled with them across the Allegheny mountains in company with the Bennet (t) family to settle in Wood County, (later Wirt) WVA. I have checked the 1810 census of both VA and MD. I find a J. Steel in the 1810 Frederick Cnty., MD census as a neighbor of W. Ball, S. Ball and H. Ball and a Joseph Bennet as neighbor to Wm. Ball, James Ball, John Ball, Stephen Ball, Spencer Ball and Henry Ball in the 1810 Fairfax Cnty., VA census. Any input is most welcome!!! PLEASE!!! Thanks, Good Hunting....... Molly Ball Stoddard
