    3. Does anyone have information on the Lee Cemetery along side Lee Creek and the highway in Newark, near where Lee Creek dumps into the Little Kanawha. The last time I was there, several years ago, it was totally unmaintained and overgrown with weeds. The markers were all knocked down. There was at that time a private airfield right along side, immediately west of the cemetery site. Are there any steps being taken to clean up the cemetery area? It's my understanding that Richard and Tabitha are buried at that location although I don't know if there are grave markers or not. I believe I am a descendent of Richard Lee and Tabitha Darnell, although there is a question mark in the second generation after Richard. My descendents I'm sure about is John Lee & Margaret Cunningham. John, I believe is in the second generation after Richard. If some has proof that John and Richard are related, I would appreciate knowing for sure the connection. Also if anyone know, where did Richard come from before he arrived is what is now WV? Thanks Lew Coleman

    3. Lew, I talked to my dad about this. There is a little cemetery near the airfield in Newark. The cemetery there is usually referred to as Pickering Cemetery. The person who built a hanger near the cemetery has cleaned and fixed up the area. The creek there is listed by USGS as Lee Run. Lee Creek is on the other side of the river. We will try to get you some more information.
