Disoway Cain who was the son of Thomas Horner Cain is my gggrandfather. My father was the son of John Andrew Cain.Thomas Cain was the father of Thomas Horner Cain and the father of Thomas Cain was Michael O'Cain. Thomas Cain built his cabin upon the high land just back of the Good Hope Baptist Church, he and his wife's bodies rest in the church cemetery near his original home, a log structure here was organized the first Baptist church in Roane county which is the present Good Hope Church. This man was a minister for this church until his death in 1841. His son, Thomas Horner Cain, was its minster for more than fifty years. Ann Cain married Samuel Curfman.
