>From : The Eat Liverpool, OH Evening Review 21 Feb 2000 Rolly W. Sheppard, 89 Eat Liverpool- Rolly W. Sheppard, 89, of Calcutta Smith Ferry Road, died at 1:08 am Sunday, Feb 20., 2000, at City Hopsital after being stricken at home. He was born in Elizabeth, WV., March 29, 1910, a son of the late Early and Orpha Sheppard.. An area resident since 1921, he retired from Colt Industries in 1975 as an inspector in the metallurgic department. He attended East Liverpool schools and Ohio Valley Business College. He was a member of Calvary Methodist Church and its Tilford Manley SS Class. He was one of the last surviving members of the City Softball league, playing third base for Fleetwing Gas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Burns Sheppard, who died 21 feb, 1994 and whom he married 31 Aug. 1934. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. James (Donna )Pierson of Canton and Mrs. David (Judith) Morse of East Liverpool; a son and daughter -in - law, Richard and Peggy Sheppard of East Liverpool; a sister, Mrs. Frank (Kathryn) Marshall of Ontario, CA; and six grandchildren, Michael J. Pierson, Elizabeth A. Pierson, Amy Lyn Morse; Mrs. Stephen (Jennifer) George, Ryan L. Sheppard and Sara R. Sheppard. The Rev. William Church will conduct services at 10:30 am Wednesdat at Dawson Funeral home. Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
