For anyone interested in Burning Springs, I found a little book in my local library and subsequently purchased a copy: "The Burning Springs and Other Tales of the Little Kanawha" by Howard B Lee. Originally published in 1968 and printed by McClain Printing Company Parsons, WV (4th printing 1990), it gives vivid descriptions of early life in the area and the booming of the town with the discovery of oil. It has some information about the surrounding areas and a little about some of the families in the area, particularly about Howard Lee's ancestors.
