Owens Sr. of Wirt County, WV, who married Margaret Elizabeth Coe. George Sr. and his brother Willis Owens apparently came to the area that became Wirt County in approximately 1798 from Fairfax County Virginia. George Sr. and Margaret Elizabeth had seven children: W.S., Alfred, Harrison, George C. Jr., Margaret, Pernelia, and Sarah.
