Don't know if I can help you or not. I have an America Ballard marrying my grand-dads uncle John. I cannot verify that they (Ballard's) ever resided in Wirt County but John and America in Wood County and when I was down there doing research it sure seemed to me that their farm was only a stones throw out of Wirt County. My info is kinda sparse but I show her parents as John Dee Ballard and mom was Jane Davis and there were six kids in the family. If you think she might be part of the people you seek then give a shout; I have husband and her kids names and also brothers and sisters. I have NO info on her parents beyond their names. This is not a direct line for me so I have not gathered that much info but if we can be sure we have a match here then I will go thru my paperwork and find addresses for researchers of that branch of family.
