Did you know that Sallie is a nickname for Sarah? My grandmother's first name was Sarah, but it doing genealogy and checking records I found her listed as Sallie and to top it off a postcard from her son in World War I is written to a Mrs Sally G------- Love your son.My husband's great-grandmother who's name was Sarah was listed alot as Sadie. My Sally was in Ohio and his Sadie was in FL. So maybe this will help.
