Am searching for some information on James O. HICKMAN who married Rachel Ann "Annie" BARNHART on 15 August 1877, according to Wes Cochran's "Jackson County Marriages 1831-1879." The marriage info in the book also states that James Heekman (HICKMAN) is 33 from Wirt County & that R. A. BARNHART is 25 from Jackson County. In the 1880 Census for Jackson County there are three listed in the household of James O. HICKMAN: James O. WM 36 Ann WF 28 Sheridan WM 2 The census ages corollate with the ages listed on the marriage bond. Does anyone have a date of death for James O. HICKMAN? Or names of his parents? I believe that James O. HICKMAN died shortly after the 1880 census & that Rachel Ann "Annie" BARNHART married or "lived with" Fred Huffman until her death in 1917.
