from: Coshocton Tribune Ohio Lena Corbitt, 90 COLUMBUS -- Lena May (Ward) Corbitt, 90, passed away May 16, 2003, at Wesley Glen Health Care Center in Columbus. She was born May 18, 1912, in Beavers Falls, Pa. to Ottie Raymond Ward and Iva Isabelle (Romine) Ward. Lena married Herman Cecil Corbitt of Vienna, W.Va., Dec. 7, 1945, in Bath, where they resided until his death in 1984. Lena is survived by daughter, Karen Marie (Tom) Martin of Sunbury; granddaughters, Laura (Ted) Stimmel of Sunbury, and Virginia Bartholomew of Manheim, Pa.; great-grandchildren, Jordan and Heather Stimmel; sister, Betty Jean Swiger of Savannah, Ga.; and many nieces and nephews. Lena was preceded in death by her sister, Madge Agnes Bishop and her brother "Woody" Ward. Lena was a member of Warsaw United Methodist Church and had been active in the Warsaw Lioness Club, Bethlehem Grange and Bath Grange. She was loved by many for her loving smile, her cheerful disposition and her dimples. She will be sorely missed. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2003 at the Palestine Cemetery in Palestine, W.Va. Originally published Saturday, May 17, 2003
