PHILLIPS, 85, of Munday, Wirt County, West Virginia, died Jan. 11 at the Cedar Grove Personal Care after an extended illness. Mrs. PHILLIPS was born Oct.14, 1902 at Munday, daughter of the late Leslie and Sarah ROBERTS KELLEY. She was a lifelong resident of Munday and active with the Wirt County Senior Citizens. She is survived by two sons, Jack PHILLIPS of Eastlake, Ohio and Ercel "Pete" PHILLIPS of Newark, West Virginia; three daughters, Helen PHILLIPS of Davisville, Patricia PHILLIPS of McLean, Va. and Carolyn LHOFGREN of Schuylerville, N.Y.; one sister, Anna CHADOCK of Munday; 15 grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Abner PHILLIPS in 1974, one son, William Gene PHILLIPS in 1945, five brothers and four sisters. Funeral services will be Thursday, Jan. 14, 2 p.m. at the Bell Chapel United Methodist Church at Munday, with the Rev. Jon W. Townsend officiating. Burial wil be in the Wolverton Cemetery at Munday. Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 836 Washington Street, Elizabeth all day Jan. 13 and from 9-11 on Jan. 14. The body will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the services.
