Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/CFC.2ACI/990.1 Message Board Post: Darren, I do find him on page 410 of "Soldiers of the Great War", listed as a Private, from Alderson, (Summers Co.?) WV. Is his birth year or age in 1910 known? I have access to the 1910 Census, but the Charles Moffet listings of males under 30 yield no solid clues. None living or born in WV, and the only ones residing in Ohio are aged 13yo and 43yo, (not prime candidates for WWI). Willing to help, if I have more known data.

    3. I for one would like to say I consider the message below wholly inappropriate for a genealogy list. Obviously, opinions about major political figures differ; equally obviously, of so I would have thought, this is no more the proper place to eulogize such a figure than to criticize one. He served in WW1 and was killed in France on November 4, 1918. He enlisted in Ohio, but apparently was from West Virginia as evidenced by the URL link listed below. I suppose he should be listed in the 1910 census in one state or the other. Anything anyone can find about him will be greatly useful and appreciated.
