That name sounds familiar. I may have heard it from my mother. Did he live in the Spring Creek area? We are related to the Hall's living there. This is based upon information I extracted from various Cochran publications (marriages, census). Therefore it is hardly complete or accurate. I am uncertain if Nicholas's father, Edmond was married twice. Supposedly Edmond was born Dec 1878, but the census info for Edmond gave an approximate marriage year of 1881 for his marriage to Lyda.

We will get a special man for poultry culling work this fall four days. This will make possible at least eight culling demonstrations besides what culling I will do myself. We will probably be able to get a price on fertilizer for fall delivery by the middle of July. Mr. McLaughlin, the secretary of our State Federation, was of the opinion that we could get fertilizer for all delivery cheaper than the spring delivery. There will be a Farm Bureau meeting Saturday, July 2nd. Some of the things to be taken up are setting of wool through the State Federation, membership fees, and incorporation for county fair. The last Legislature appropriated a sum of money for aid of county fairs. By incorporating under the new law it is possible for us to get money for premium for boys and girls club shows and enough for a products show for older farmers. Since this appropriation has been made Wirt County ought to get its share if possible. We may get a speaker from the extension division for Saturday afternoon. Notice will be sent later.
