For those who don't know or have forgotton there is a search engine which will search all previous posts made to a mailing list. To search all of the previous posts made to the webster county mailing list go to http://searches2.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl and type in WVWEBSTE for the name of list. In the new window select the year you want to search and type in your query, such as your surname (Tyler, Henline, Hamrick etc) or a subject like cemeteries, Addison, Cowen, etc. The search engine will provide all posts containing that word. The same search engine can be used to search other county mailing lists, for example instead of typing in WVWEBSTE on the first page type in WVCLAY and it will allow you to search the clay county mailing list. Or you can type in WVNICHOL to search the Nicholas county mailing list. For the computer illiterate the final page showing the search results might be a bit confusing. To keep it simple find one of the returns whose subject line looks interesting and click FULL to show the entire message including email address of sender.
