Hi Folks: Last night the Calhoun Historical Society voted to proceed with the pre-publication sale phase of a 2nd printing of the "History of Calhoun County - 1989." The book would be exactly the same as the original printing except it will be noted as a second printing on page 11. It is estimated that the Society would need to receive 200 orders to make the endeavor worthwhile. The volume is: Embossed hardbound cover, approximately 9-1/2 x 12 inches (cover) 235 pages, including full name index Contains 40 pages of narrative history of the county, with the remaining pages consisting of family history/genealogy and many, many photos Prepaid price has not been firmly set yet, dependent upon receipt of additional info from the publisher, but will be $60.00 plus shipping and handling. We are currently waiting for the figure from the publisher as to the cost to have the books shipped direct from the publisher. Pre-publication sale will begin upon receipt of pre-publication packet of materials from the publisher. The pre-publication sales will last only a limited amount of time as we expect to have delivery before Christmas 2000 for those who might wish to purchase the books for use as Christmas gifts.
