Faith, We tend to think that the records recorded are correct, but this is not always the case. There was a book written about my paternal side of the family , puublished in 1989. The two individuals who wrote the book used court house records of births, marriages, etc. I come from a family of five, 2 parents and 2 siblings. In the section under my father there are seven (7) errors. I know that my birth was recorded incorrectly at the court house and has been corrected. Or at least was suppose to be, have not checked on this to be sure. Another thing that I might add: If you are recording information on people and they or a close relation is available to verify what you have, take the time to do it. The previous errors recorded could have been corrected if this had been done. Thanks for your time, Dawna East Canton, Ohio
