    3. This letter hand written by my great grandfather Benjamin Currence Conrad to Mr. Charles P. Lynch requesting genealogy information. Benjamin served as Captain in Civil War as I have a great photo of him in his overcoat with Captains braid and he is holding a confederate flag - married to Mary Jane McCray. Webster Springs, WV. January 6, 1917 Mr. Charles P. Lynch Arkon, Ohio Dear Sir; Your's of 3 rd. rce'd last night and I am writing a few lines as I do not know how long you will remaind there. Accept thanks for information given me. I received a long letter from S.M. Conrad of Ruddle, Pendleton Co. a few days ago detailing history of Conrad family as far as he knew. His father and my father were first cousins, I have been where he lives in the old stone house build by Uilry ? Conrad, a brother to my grandfather John Conrad. I lack considerable information I desire to obtain to make up "family tree." We are enjoting the winter pretty well, and hope you are enjoying life "hugely." Yours truly, B.C. Conrad
