Hello All! I just wanted to share a little excitement with all of you. Tomorrow, at my mother's house, there will be about 6-10 ARTHUR family members that my mother, my aunt(which are ARTHUR'S by birth) & I have never met. My aunt comes down from up north once a yr, so we planned this while she was here. My mother and aunt are the only two children to my grandparents.[Cecil T. ARTHUR & Anna Bertha ACKERMANN Arthur] The ARTHUR side to the family which includes my grandfather, his parents and his siblings have always been such a mystery. My aunt had brought many photographs with her that I have never seen in my life time. Hopefully, someone that will come tomorrow can look through them and let us know who these pictures of the past could be of. I am also going to try and scan some of the pictures before she leaves to up north and put online and maybe some of us ARTHUR family members can connect. I have several questions regarding especially two of the pictures my aunt has brought. (1)One of them is a woman and a man standing next to an ox c! onnected to a covered wagon. The man is wearing what appears to me might be a civil war uniform. (2)The other picture with several people in it has a man wearing a uniform that might be from WWI or WWII - not to sure on the history part with the uniforms, but I do know they don't look like that today. I am hoping with this new information, I can check into another path of my search, which would be the military search. I will keep everyone posted to my search as tomorrow will hopefully bring me to a lot more answers and I'm sure a lot more questions in my genealogy search of the ARTHUR family.
