Thank you all for all the prayers for my mother. I left Alaska on the 2nd of May and got to Northern Virginia to find my mother able to communicate, which was really great. I arrived there on Wednesday the 3rd. Her brother and sister was there also from Pennsylvania. Although she was partially paralyzed on one side, she was talking and seemed to be doing a little better. We shared some laughs and tears and hopes that she was on the mend. However, on Saturday, she suffered 2 more minor strokes which were to be the final blows.....they had to discontinue dialysis because her blood pressure went too high...and since it was her will, they discontinued trying this. After re-evaluating everything, it was determined that it was only a matter of time. they moved her to a private room so we could stay with her all the time....and she passed on May 11th. All of us children were there at the time...and while making arrangements, I, the least likely, had a heart attack and was admitted to the hospital for cardiac cath and angioplasty, which was done this past Thursday, the 18th. I am now finally back home in Alaska... and still trying to stop reeling from all that has happened in the last month. Needless to say, this was not a good one....Yesterday, trying to get ready to leave, my brother was also admitted to the hospital for tests.... Thank you all for the prayers.... I appreciate the email support from such wonderful friends online....... now the business of catching up with all the messages.... please be patient with me...there are hundreds of them...... Joann
