I have been on vacation - so have clumped some obituaries that appreared in the Akron Beacon Journal for WVa. areas. 1. MOGADORE -- Eddie Joe Hall, 64, passed away unexpectedly May 3, 2000. Born in Jumping Branch, W. Va., he lived in the Akron area most of his life. Mr. Hall retired from the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in 1993 after 42 years of service, and was presently employed part time at NAPA Auto Parts in Mogadore. He was a member of Ellet Community Church of God. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Betty; son, William Hall of Suffield; daughters, Debra Strileckyj of Springfield, Ohio, Patricia (Anthony) Buffa of Chardon; grandsons, Michael, Jason, Zachary, Adam, and Cody; granddaughter, Laura; great-granddaughter, Autaum; sisters, Versie Smith and Ivalene (Joe) Johnson, both of West Virginia, Betty (Bernard) Herron of Akron; and numerous relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Monday, 12 noon, at the Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd. (Route 91), Akron, with Rev. G. Rod Taylor officiating. Burial at Hillside Memorial Park. Ruby Jean Schreiber age 71, of Trufant, formerly of Norton, died Sunday, May 7, 2000, at Metron of Greenville. She was born in Thornton, W. Va., on April 19, 1926, the daughter of Joseph and Bessie Hamm Hotsinpiller. She married Harold A. Schreiber in 1942, and was a resident of Norton, for over 60 years. She was a member of the Auxiliary of the Loyal Oak Post V.F.W. in Norton. She was preceded in death by her husband, in 1990; two sisters; and one brother. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and David Reeve of Trufant; two sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Kathryn Schreiber of Satellite Beach, Fla., and George (Wendy) Schreiber of Centerburg, Ohio; also surviving are her grandchildren, Ashley, Christopher, Jacob, Joshua, and Jennifer Schreiber, Kathy and David Fuque, Denise and Tate Pardue, Matt and Carrie Schreiber; her great-grandchildren, Brendon, Jordan, and Sean Tyler; and her brothers, Arthur, Allen, Joe, and John Hotsinpiller; and her sisters, Shirley Godlewski, Naomi Buckner, Margaret Karponai and Edna Anderson; sister-in-law, Helen Schreiber; and nephew, August Homer Schreiber; and many other nieces and nephews. NORTH CANTON -- Cora Testa, 83, of North Canton, died Tuesday, May 9, 2000, at St. Luke's Nursing Home in North Canton, Ohio. Mrs. Testa was born in Parkersburg, W. Va., on March 10, 1917. She had been a resident of Akron for 48 years, and of North Canton for the last 13 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve, in 1986, and is survived by her daughters, Nicki (Robert) Burns of North Canton and Martha (Randy) Rose of Akron; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Veronica, James, Angela, and Katie; five great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Williams of Tallmadge, Teresa Testa of Akron, and Angie Testa of Akron; brother-in-law, Louis (Marion) Testa of Akron. Funeral services will be Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Hennessy-Bagnoli Funeral Home, 936 N. Main St., Akron. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Rosemary Bartlett-Biskupich, 64, died May 7, 2000, at Hospice Care in Fairlawn. Born June 17, 1935, in Harding, W. Va., to the late Louie and Nora Hebb Ash, she retired as a produce manager for Nemenz Foodland of Lake Milton, Ohio. Her hobbies included bingo, gardening, antiques, cooking, and spending time with family. She was preceded in death by first husband, Gerald C. Bartlett; second husband, John J. Biskupich Sr.; and sister, Marcelene Kyer. She is survived by stepdaughter, Nancy Pizzulo of Florida; sons, Louie Bartlett of Lake Milton, Ohio, Gerald (Jay) Bartlett of Bristolville, Ohio, Dominick Bartlett of Lake Milton, Ohio; stepson, John J. Biskupich Jr. of Florida; sisters, Shirley Bradley of Coalton, W. Va., and Nyoka Acord of Harding, W. Va.; brothers, Dick Ash of Lake Milton, Ohio, and Dominick Ash of Junior, W. Mary Mostade, 89, went home to be with the Lord on May 9, 2000. Mrs. Mostade was born in White Oak, W. Va., and was a longtime resident of the Portage Lakes and Orangeburg, S.C. She loved her country, and served as a nurse with the U.S. Army during World War II. Mrs. Mostade was an accountant who formerly worked for the Sumner Butter Co. and area nursing homes. Preceded in death by her dear husband, Thomas; her brothers, Lloyd Lester Lawson and Gordon Lawson, she is survived by her son, George Michael Kmet of Kent; grandchildren, Tiffany and Arwen of Columbus, Ohio, Justin of Milton, Mass.; brother, William (Martina) Lawson of Morgantown, W. Va.; sister, Lucille Vincent of Bridgeport, W. Va.; dear friend, Anita Woods of Orangeburg, S.C.; dear and faithful friends, Patricia Marks, George and Carol Derry; and wonderful caregivers, Jessie and Elaine Box. There will be no calling hours. Thompson Russell B. Thompson, 89, died May 11, 2000, after a long illness, in Dunnellon, Fla. Born in Ft. Gay, W. Va., he resided in the Akron area for many years, and then in Dunnellon, Fla., for the past 25 years. He was employed many years with the Goodyear Aircraft Corp. in many capacities, including field service representative for the Corsair Aircraft during World War II. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Dunnellon and the Akron Masonic Lodge 83 for over 50 years. He is survived by his wife, Dorothea; sons, Russell B. Thompson Jr. and Jack E. Thompson of Green; stepsons, Guy, Peter, Michael, and Joseph Capilli; grandchildren, John (Karla) Thompson of North Canton, David Thompson of Green, Carol Williams, Dan Thompson, Robert and Carrie Thompson, all of Green; eight stepgrandchildren; great-granddaughter, Amy Lynn Thompson; and seven stepgreat-grandchildren.
