    3. Like you, i am a new member of the list, but in the short time i've been a member i've enjoyed this list more than the half dozen others i belong to all put together. This is one of the most active lists that i belong to and i really like that i recognize the place names and some of the people i remember my parents talking about. I'm still working on transcribing the Sunset Memorial Park cemetery in Erbacon. I am probably one fourth of the way through. I only have information on the oldest half of the cemetery. The way i transcribe cemeteries is that i take a hand held micro cassette recorder and read off the tombstones, then after i get home i play back the tape and type in the information. The biggest problem so far is that after all the walking up and down hills all the recorder picks up is heavy breathing and a raspy whisper. After i finish typing up the rough draft i'll post the information and let everyone take a shot at correcting the numerous errors and to ask any questions, then i'll make one final trip to the cemetery and check my written information against the tombstones, make one last effort to read the illegible markers, make any corrections to my paper, and then type up a final draft which i'll post to the list. >From: "meloboo" <meloboo@gateway.net> >Reply-To: "meloboo" <meloboo@gateway.net> >To: WVWEBSTE-L@rootsweb.com >Subject: [WVWEBSTE] Erbacon Cemeteries and Webster Echo News >Date: Fri, 28 Jul 2000 13:37:37 -0400 > >Even though I've just joined the Webster County mailing list, I've already >gleened much information about family and friends.
