There was quite a crowd at the sale of the personal property of W. G. Hamrick's recently. Politics is now the universal conversatin. M. L. Hamrick is our choice first, last and all the time for clerk of the circuit court. Mr. Hamrick is well qualified for the position, having had considerable experience already, and is a young man of whom we feel proud. And we do certainly think the time has come for a change in the office of circuit clerk. If one man is to be our clerk during his natural life, why be at the expense of an electin? We would like to hear from others on this subject. CROMWELL.
