McElwain left Tuesday morning for Braxton county where he will spend the winter. Revs. Anderson, Cogar and White are engaged in a series of meetings at the Wainville church. Mr. Shafer, of Pleasants county, is here looking after his interest in the lumber business. Mr. Franklin Dodrill, of Nicholas county, passed through here one day last week, on his way to visit his brother, who lives on Uper Elk. A. L. Goff, D. H. Smith and M. T. Hoover, of this place, spent last Saturday and Sunday at Addison. Thos Lee has bought a farm on the headwaters of Amos Run, and will move there in the near future. L. D. Coakley and family will move to Halo in a few days. We are sorry to lose good citizens like Mr. Coakley. Kissing bug season is over, but one was accidentally discovered at this place last week and evening just at twilight, kissing the rosy lips of a fair blonde over the front gate. Well, we will not tell the rest this time. LONE STAR.
