Ray D. Miller, 71, died Wednesday, June 21, 2000, at the Hospice Care Center. He was born in Orma, W. Va., and had been an Akron resident since 1943. He was the owner-operator of Summit Awning Co. from 1959 until 1994. He was a member of Englebeck Lodge 751 F&AM, the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Akron, and was a member and past president of East Akron Eagles Aerie 2301. Mr. Miller is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ruth; son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Debra Miller of Akron; daughters and son-in-law, Vickie Rae and Ronald Bittner of Wooster and Diane Seese of Akron; sister, Marlene Tate of Caldwell, Ohio; grandchildren, Jason and Kelly Miller and Joshua and Kristi (Anthony) Kadar; great-grandaughter, Taylor Kristine Kadar. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 1 p.m. at the Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home, 95 W. Waterloo Rd. Interment at Hillside Burial Park.
