    3. From: The Webster Echo, Oct. 17, 1945. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Weese and daughters Margaret, Betty J., Mary Ann, Janet and Juanita, accompanied by Mrs. Amy Weese, spent the week end at Mavis, in Braxton county, visiting Rev. Ellit White, a brother of Aunt Amy's. Mr. Thurman Knight, who has been seriously ill at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank E. Dodrill, died Sunday night. Pfc and Mrs. Lloyd Sims, were shopping at Webster Springs Saturday. They were accompanied by, Lloyd's small brother, Clarence, who had his imunization for diptheria and smallpox. The following members of the Happy Hustlers 4-H Club attended the annual 4-H Banquet at Camp Caesar Saturday night, Misses Agatha Morton, Wanda Weese, Betty Jo Stalnaker, Alladean, Mary and Mabel Cunningham, Mr. Duane Morris, Charles Stalnnaker and Argel Rose, all report a very pleasant evening. Bob Weese was a business visiter at Morgantown Monday. He was accompanied by Otis Hubert and Dayton Carpenter who returned to their home. Roger and Linda Holcomb, children of Mr. and Mrs. Len Holcomb, of Gauley Mills, were visiting their grandmother, Mrs. Eula Cunningham, last week. Mrs. Lawsel tharp has moved from White Oak to a house on the farm of W. E. McQueen, on Amos Run. Mrs. Ted Morris was shopping at Cowen Thursday. Our Sunday School is progressing nicely under the leadership our new superintedent, Mr. W. A. Wayne. Everyone is invited to come to Sunday School. There will be a mixed social at the school house Saturday at 7:30 for the benefit of the U.S.O. Everybody is invited to come and help a worthy cause. Mr. A. B. Tharp, who works up on Williams River, spent the week end with homefolks. Herb Wayne, of Cowen, visited his brother, Pfc. Owen Wayne, who is home on furlough. Jack Lynch and Harold Crites of Erbacon, were visiting Mr. and Mrs. Noble Sims Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Enos Weese, of Camden on Gauley and daughter, Mrs. Sheldon Morton, of Dixie were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Weese. Mrs. Weese's brother. Mr. and Mrs. Frank E. Dodrill and small son, Douglas, were business visitors in Webster Spgs.
