    1. [WVWEBSTE] Re: WVWEBSTE-D Digest V00 #64
    2. Hi Cathy, There were Lowe's/Lough's living in Webster Co in the 1930's-to at least 1941-42. "Pippy" Geraldine Lough and her brother Harold, rode the bus to Cowen Grade School. Pippy would have been born abt 1930 and Harold abt 1932. Pippy was in my class and Harold in my sister's. Their mother had died. They lived with their dad. They could have come from Upper Glade, but I always thought they lived down Birch River. They may have moved to Ohio to work during the WW11 years. I remember running into one of the Lough's when I was working at Firestone in Akron. He said he was from Webster County. He was a man in his 50's. I think his name was Walter. That was back in the early 1950's, so he was probably born around 1900-1905. Pippy had disappeared by the 7th. Grade. That was the fall the war started. I suspect her Dad moved away to get work..or he could have been drafted. Forgive me if I told you this before, don't want to miss a chance to give you any little lead. I know how you've agonized to get information. Hope you get a break, Lenore

    1. [WVWEBSTE] Price Arthur Estate
    2. Faith Blount
    3. Hello All! Just wondering if anyone has any ideas regarding estates? I have an estate which belongs to my ggrandmother, Price Arthur. Price STILTNER Arthur b. 07Aug1869 d. 25 Feb1923 buried in Big Run Cemetery(Anyone have directions to this cemetery?). Just recently I received her death certificate stating that her parents were Martha Woods and Jackson Stiltner. Also, recently a granddaughter of Price had information written down that she copied for me from her mother Wilma Goldy ARTHUR Mann(Price's daughter)that her maiden name was Carter. It was written as Prisy Carter. Was she married once before my ggrandfather Lee Anderson Arthur? I'm sure the death records would be correct, right? I have contacted the court house in Webster Springs, with no findings of an estate. I received the name of the estate from the tax assessor's office in Webster Springs but that is all they said that they had. So if there is an estate, why can't anyone find any records? Anyone have any idea? A! lso, why wouldn't my ggrandfather's name be on it? Was it from her side of the family? I know their is land involved with other things being involved also. Can anyone shed any light on this topic? Anything to help me break this wall!!!! Thanks, Faith To e-mail me directly: blount@digital.net

    1. Re: [WVWEBSTE] Death records correct
    2. Faith, We tend to think that the records recorded are correct, but this is not always the case. There was a book written about my paternal side of the family , puublished in 1989. The two individuals who wrote the book used court house records of births, marriages, etc. I come from a family of five, 2 parents and 2 siblings. In the section under my father there are seven (7) errors. I know that my birth was recorded incorrectly at the court house and has been corrected. Or at least was suppose to be, have not checked on this to be sure. Another thing that I might add: If you are recording information on people and they or a close relation is available to verify what you have, take the time to do it. The previous errors recorded could have been corrected if this had been done. Thanks for your time, Dawna East Canton, Ohio
