I had contacted the Dodd & Reed Funeral Home in Webster Springs, thinking they might have handled my great grandfather's funeral. They hadn't but I thought the list might be interested in what they did say. They started business in 1933. Records start at 1937. Hope this is helpful to someone. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to find the grave of someone who died in 1900? I am looking for MINNIE A. WALKER, who died on 2 June 1900 in Nicholas County. She was living in Cowen, Webster County at the time. She gave birth on 3 May 1900 in Cowen and died of consumption a month later. It has been suggested that she was taken to Richwood to a hospital. A very nice lady in Richwood told me that the funeral home records do not go back that far. The death record from Webster County does not list a place of burial and I have looked at several cemeteries in the Cowen area but no luck. I welcome any suggestions or additional info on Minnie. hey - worked hard today and got about 8 page posted to the web for the 1860 census. More to come - this is my priority right now - the obits, etc. are on hold until I get the censuses posted - any objections???? I feel this is more helpful. Let me know your ideas. bj
