Thanks to all for the help with the question on the Army of West Virginia. My greatgreatgrandfather was part of this Army, he was with the 91st O.V.I., He was also a native Virginian and oddly he was with Gen "Black" Dave Hunter When he burned the very county he was born in (Rockbridge) To the ground (well a lot of it) including V.M.I. on there way to Lynchburg Va. He was wounded at the battle of Stevenson's Depot Va. July 20, 1864 and died of those wounds Aug. 10, 1864 and his company H was just about wiped out there.
