"OBIT. BIG SANDY NEWS. Wednesday, December 2, 1998. ZELLA MAE JORDAN 1903 – 1998. Zella Mae Jordan, 94, died Tuesday, November 24, at the Carter Nursing and Rehab Center in Grayson. Mrs. Jordan was born November 28, 1903 in Lawrence County, a daughter of the late Lafayette and Susan Webb Thompson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Authur Jordan, in 1963 and one step-son, Wilbur Jordan. She was a lifelong member of Brammer Gap Methodist Church, Webbville. Survivors include one step-son, Jerry Jordan of Ashland; two steo-daughters, Naomi Horsley of Sarasota, Florida and Ruth Parsley of Warfield, West Virginia; eleven nieces and nephews; nine step-grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted by Jesse Fyffe Friday, November 27 in Young Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Jordan Cemtery, East Fork. Young Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements." Beverly L.
