The following names appear on pp. 96 – 99, "History of Lawrence County, KY" as men inducted by the local board of Lawrence County, Kentucky, 1917 – 1919. I found no record of their service when I researched the WWI Service Records in the courthouse. Perhaps they were inducted by the board, but were not enlisted into service for some reason. There are some names which I found very similar to a service record and are indicated with the service record name in parenthesis. Do you know if any of these men did serve in WWI?
