I'm looking for others who are connected to my GG Grandfather, John Moody Farra, (b. Oct. 29, 1825 in VA) and his wife Mary Raines Farra (b. Mar. 7, 1834 in Tazewell Co., VA). They moved to the 12 pole area of Wayne County, VA/WV between the 1860 census of Tazewell County, VA and the 1870 census of Wayne County, WV. Apparently, he was given a land grant during the Western VA migration after the Civil War, because he served as a blacksmith during the war. His settlement covered a large part of what is now Dunlow, WV, near the entrance to Cabwaylingo State Forest off Highway 152. They are buried in the Preston Family Cemetery, 5 miles north of the Dunlow VFW on Highway 152 in Dunlow, WV, and their very nice gravestones are still standing and very legible. Sept. 20, 1862, Pulaski Co, VA, m. Mary Jane "Mollie" WARDEN Amanda (Frances) Farra, b. ca 1863, (Wayne Co, WV?), m. George WILSON Florence Farra, b. ca 1867, (Wayne Co., WV?), m. SHRADER Samual S. "Sam" Farra, b. Mar. 19, 1870, (Wayne Co, WV?), m. Cuzzie ?, 2m Armilda ?, 3m Elizabeth "Lizzie" SPENCER Mary Ellen Farra, b. ca 1872, (Wayne Co, WV?), m. LOVINS Winfield Washington Farra, b. Sept. 19, 1877, Wayne Co., WV, m. Emma BROWNING Robert Edgar Farra, b. 1885, Wayne Co, WV, m. Fern SELLARDS Some descendants of this added an "r" to the end of their name, making it FARRAR. My ancestor was Winfield W. Farra, buried at the Wayne Cemetery in Wayne, WV. Winfield's son, John Harper Farra (b. Jan 24, 1909, Griffithsville, KY) was my maternal grandfather, buried with his wife, Betty Mae Brewer Farra (b.
