All of the names mentioned lived on Gragston Creek and Centerville Rd area near Prichard. My GGFather John Gilkerson's house burned as lightning struck the house. Nanny MERIDETH JOHNSON was living in the house at that time <1930. Her husbands name was Albert JOHNSON s/o Robert JOHNSON who lived on Johnson Street. The Prichard School property was part of the JOHNSON farm but was originally part of the John GILKERSON's farm before 1850. Some say that the GILKERSON house was surrounded by a wooden fence which was struck by lightning years before. Just some thoughts.
