Henry Birch Hewlett, 68, died very suddenly at his home in this city, Tuesday evening, November 22. Mr. Hewlett had been in failing health for some time but was able to be out mixing and mingling with his many friends. Mr. Hewlett was a fine gentleman and his personality made him many friends. He always met you with a smile and left you the same way. He was a retired General Refractories iron worker, and the son of the late William and Clarenda Mullins Hewlett. He was born in Fort Gay, W. Va., February 10, 1892. Mr. and Mrs. Hewlett had been residents of Olive Hill for the past twenty years. He was a member of the First Christian Church of this city. Funeral services will be conducted at the Stucky-Back-Cline Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 25th, with the Rev. Frank Baker officiating. Music will be furnished by the church choir. Burial will be in the Hewlett Cemetery at Fort Gay, W. Va., under the direction of Stucky-Back-Cline Funeral Home of this city. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gladys Tabor Hewlett, one step-son, Charles Frazier, Great Falls, Mont., one brother, R. F. Hewlett, Fort Gay, and one half-brother, Tom Hewlett, of Louisa, KY.
