I wrote to the Chamber of Commerce in Webbville and the letter was returned as undeliverable. It is my understanding that Hicksville, Kentucky, was absorbed into Webbville many years ago. My grandfather, A. L. Hicks, was supposed to have been postmaster in Hicksville and we are trying to find information on our family while they were living in the area to either prove or disprove this. Any information you might be able to give our family would be appreciated. We will be in your area this year trying to find the old family homestead, cemetery, etc. and need and appreciate any help we can get. As it has been so many years since we have been in the area, none of us remember enough to be of any help. If you can also supply me with historical society address, etc. for the area or anything that you think would be of interest to us on area history, Hicks family history, etc., it will be very much appreciated.
