My husband's great grandmother was Grace Wellman who was the d/o James Polk Wellman and Amanda Francis Sisson/Cisson. James Polk Wellman was the first Clerk for Wayne County. Grace was married to Rev., Dr. Jefferson Bowen Workman. The parents of James Polk Wellman were: James Wellman Sr. and Nancy Wilson. James Sr. parents were: John Wellman Sr. and Nancy Webb.
