Polly, Thanks for the reply and the excellent info. I am wondering, however, if John "uncle John to all" Jarrell's middle initial is "E"? John is such a common name. Even without the middle initial though I'm sure Uncle John is Rachell Jarrell's father because the man who performed the wedding ceremony for her and Albert Wellman was none other than Rev Wm. T. Ball. I am a bit confused about Uncle John's parents. You list them as Lazarus Damron and Jane Jarrell. Is it Lazarus Damron Jarrell? I'm assuming it is but if it is not then I'm assuming Jane was a single mom and John took his mother's name?
